At the EyeMax Clinic, treatment of retinal disorders (depending on the type) is carried out using the following methods:
- Vitrectomy (“vitreum” — vitreous body; “ectomy” — removal) — a surgical procedure aimed at partial or complete removal of the vitreous body.
- Extrascleral buckling — a surgical method for treating retinal detachment by intervening on the surface of the sclera in order to bring the detached area of the retina closer to the pigment epithelium.
- Laser retinal strengthening (coagulation) — currently one of the most effective procedures used to treat degenerative retinal pathologies and to prevent the development of severe complications, including complete vision loss.
- Intravitreal injections of medications such as Aflibercept (Eylea) and Vizcue — direct injection of a therapeutic agent into the eyeball.
